Nd-YaG Laser cutting Diamond Implants by Carbon BioGen!

This presentation demonstrates two CB Solid Diamond Dental Implants, each subjected to distinct chemical treatments to examine surface modifications.

The first implant underwent immersion in aqua regia for 72 hours, resulting in oxygen termination on its surface. This modification induced hydrophilicity, enhancing its capacity to interact with aqueous biological environments.

In contrast, the second CB Diamond Implant was treated with concentrated sodium hypochlorite, leading to the formation of a hydrophobic surface.

The hydrophilic properties of dental implant surfaces are known to facilitate the attraction of blood and osteoblastic cells, thereby promoting bone formation and osseointegration, which are critical for the long-term success of the implant.
